The University of Notre Dame track and field program had much to celebrate Friday evening. As results came in from both the Iowa State Invitational and the SPIRE Division I meet, the Irish had two first-place finishes across the two meets. Carly Loeffel took first at the SPIRE meet in the women's indoor pentathlon (4,019 points) while Molly Seidel broke her own school record to win the 5,000-meter race at Iowa State with a time of 15:47.07.
